Aeishwarya Umesh Baviskar
Aeishwarya Umesh Baviskar is an Early stage researcher within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN project “ WinGrid”, who is under the supervision of Dr. Anca D. Hansen in the Wind Energy Department at Denmark Technical University.
She is working on analyzing the effect of increasing contributions of weather dependent generation in the distribution grid. The work will also entail proposing solutions in the form of insights, guidelines and control methodologies on the how Wind power plants capabilities can be utilized to mitigate the adverse impact of weather in a distribution grid. She has previously worked on battery parameter estimation in the context of hybrid grid systems. Her primary research interest is the application of control and optimization techniques to promote integration of renewable energy sources in the grid. Prior to starting her Ph.D. project she obtained a Master’s degree in Power Engineering from Technical University of Munich, Germany and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India, in the year 2019 and 2016 respectively.
