Rujie Zhu
Rujie Zhu is an Early stage researcher within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN project “ WinGrid”, who is under the supervision of Prof. Poul Sørensen in the Wind Energy Department at Denmark Technical University.
He is working on optimization and control for hybrid power plants. The overall objective is to develop and validate robust control strategies for optimal dispatch of wind, solar and storage in wind-hybrid power plants, which are able to provide balancing services employing energy storage in different weather and market conditions. He has previously worked on data-driven optimization in the context of power system operation, distribution network resiliency, etc. His publications can be find in his google scholar profile. His research interests are in the following areas: Wind energy systems, Battery energy storage systems, Advanced optimization and control methods, Machine learning. Prior to joining in DTU, he obtained Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree both in Electrical Engineering from Guangxi University, in the year 2019 and 2016, respectively. After that, he worked in University of Central Florida as a research scholar.
